Summer in Elora
A Perfect Summer Day in Elora: My Favourite Local Spots
Hello, and welcome to the first post in my new series celebrating everything local! Today, I’m sharing my love for Elora, a place that’s captured my heart since I moved here a few years ago. From morning coffee to evening concerts, here’s my idea of the perfect summer day (plus must-see events you won’t want to miss).
Morning Fuel at Lost and Found Café
First things first, coffee! I start the day at
Lost and Found Café, where the rich, smooth coffee and delicious gluten-free sandwiches hit the spot every time.
Shopping on Mill Street & Metcalfe
Strolling down Mill Street and Metcalfe, I love popping into local boutique Epiphany Apparel and browsing artisanal stalls at the Kat Florence Summer Market. It's a treasure trove of handmade finds.
Adventure on the Grand River
Next up is a peaceful paddle with Elora Paddle Company. Rent a canoe, drift down the Grand River, and soak in the natural beauty. (Tip: bug spray is a must!)
Lunch at The Lobby Bar
Paddling builds an appetite, and The Lobby Bar (at Metcalfe and Geddes) hits the spot. Enjoy refreshing cocktails or mocktails on the patio, along with a tasty and well-curated menu.
More Local Finds + Floral Finish
Before wrapping up the day, I browse Magic Pebble Books and A Natural Home for charming gifts. Then, I stop at Drimmie Florist for fresh flowers to bring a splash of Elora into my home.
Whether you're paddling under the summer sun, sipping cocktails on a patio, or diving into local culture, Elora and Fergus offer a truly special summer experience. I hope you fall in love with this community as much as I have.
